JENNA BASS, Ph.D.

I am an experienced and empathetic licensed clinical psychologist who treats a broad range of clients, with a particular specialty in women’s and perinatal mental health. I also have longstanding expertise in working with adults navigating life transitions, depression, and anxiety, as well as issues related to relationships, parenting, and work-life balance. I work with clients to make sessions welcoming, comfortable, and constructive, all while moving toward their goals for personal growth and change.

My Approach

As a seasoned therapist who treats clients seeking help with a wide range of concerns, I greet every client with empathy, warmth, humor, and curiosity. Years of clinical and academic experience have given me special expertise in women’s and perinatal mental health as well as in supporting adults through transitions and the strains of modern, daily life. I have in-depth experience with issues related to fertility, pregnancy, the postpartum period, mood, depression, and anxiety.

For each client, I begin with a careful evaluation that considers their past and present challenges, which then becomes the basis for a bespoke treatment plan. Based on each client’s individual needs, I thoughtfully integrate my extensive training in different modalities (including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing), together with Psychodynamic Theory and Attachment Theory.

I work with my clients to create a therapeutic retreat—a time and space to delve into their concerns and to identify areas of challenge, so that together we can translate insight into meaningful change.
